ME TOO! Semin is great...last year he had an "off year" but his coach and him didnt have a good relationship... With Kovalchuk (a former teammate) And Elias (a former Idol) I think he could be fantastic!
Actually back to the previous blog, you dont want Kane, you want Burmistrov from the Jets!! That would complete the russian line, kids great on the pk and playing defensively responsible hockey in his zone, needs work on the faceoffs though. He got sick hands to just needs to shot a little more, but if you have Kovy and Semin, just pass them the puck to shoot lmao

I watched Burmistrov a ton in the OHL when he was with the Barrie Colts. Love his upside. He reminds me of Pavel Datsyuk. Not saying he'll be that good, but...

kovy is our only shooter (as of now)
elias will shoot from time to time
henrique is more of a playmaker
josefson has maybe 2 shots total in his 50 games
zubrus is a grinder
you can go the whole roster and kovy is the only one who will shoot
but a whole russian line does sound enticing, (frank) conventional wisdom, do crazy poop it might just work

Agreed, he still has to work on sizing up a bit, and being a little more solid on his feet, but i think great hockey sense and vision, a project but with an untapped potiental.
